About the Role ALS Coal Richlands is currently seeking motivated and adaptable Field Technicians to join our team for a casual position. This hands-on role involves both field and laboratory work focused on coal seam gas assessments . Day to Day Perform field-based tasks including: Core and cuttings sampling Gas desorption analysis Collection of gas composition samples Conduct laboratory-based gas desorption analysis Perform general equipment testing, calibration, and maintenance Assist with mobilisation and demobilisation to and from site Support rig-up and rig-down of field equipment Adhere to confidentiality requirements regarding all projects and operations Work flexibly, including: Extended 12–14 hour shifts (day/night) Weekend and public holiday availability Work in varying climates and remote locations Local or interstate travel as required About You Strong work ethic and willingness to work in challenging field conditions Ability to follow procedures and maintain data integrity Mechanically minded with problem-solving ability Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safety and operational protocols Previous experience in coal seam gas or similar field work is advantageous If you’re looking for a dynamic and challenging field role with great learning opportunities and a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
